August is usually a light month for releases and sales. It's the traditional time for publishers to leave their Manhattan high rises for the Hamptons. Actually, I don't know if that's true, but I do know that in August they take the month off.
Here in Georgia, August means back to school. Immediately. Like, now. So y'all enjoy your beach reading. We're back to work down here. ;)
